It was an unpredictable kind of day. One minute, the sun would be out shining brightly in the bright blue sky and then the next the weather would change to cloudy and looking like it was going to pour down. That wasn't the only thing that was unpredictable. Brendan didn't know what to do. Weather to go inside or stay ouside and sit on the lush, green, slightly wet grass of the grounds as he was now doing. He lyed on his back, hands behind his head, looking at the clouds above him. He could make out a rabbit, a dragon and a Red Cap. Then he started to think that we are only mere specks in the massive world/universe we live in. He started to get into deep thought about this topic. So deep, in fact, he would of noticed anyone if they came and layed or sat beside him.

Brandi was tired of the inside so she started walking and wasn't paying attention as she tripped over a boy laying on the ground. "oompf" she said as she landed on the ground. "Sorry I'm a little clumsy." She turned over to look at him.

Brendan sat up and turned around. He looked around and saw a girl on the ground. He smiled showing his pearly whites. He stood up and stretched his hand out to help her up.
"No you right. I shouldn't be lying the the middle of nowhere. Purely my fault." He said apologetically.

"Thanks." Said the girl as she used his hand to get up. "But really it was my fault I wasn't paying attention where I was going." "My name's Brandi." She smiled holding out her hand.

Brendan gave her a charming smile and laughed a little.
"I'm Brendan." He said affably.
Brendan hated shaking hands with people just incase he hurt them but he did so anyway. After shaking her hand he gave a sigh of relief it was a hard, strong handdshake like he would usually give people. He felt quite pleased with himself.
"So, Brandi, how are you today?" He asked.

She looked at him. "I'm fine." She paused and looked at him curiously. "Where you afraid to shake my hand or something?" she smiled. "Don't worry you can't hurt me. More than other people have anyways." She said the last part quietly and looked down. "Anyways so whatcha' doing out her alone?"

Brendan shrugged. Brendan was like this sometimes and today was one of these days were he was unpredictable. At one moment he would want to be by himself and the next he would want to talk to someone or hang around them.
"Oh I - I just thought I'd get some quite time I s'pose. You know when you've had enough of everyone and everything and you just want to be by yourself and think things over?" He said plainly.
Brendan sat back on the ground, legs crossed, and started to pick at the grass.

Brandi nodded in agreement and looked at him. "I know what you mean." She sighed "If you want me to go, i'll go, I don't mind." She gave a half smile and turned to walk away.

"You don't have to go. Don't take what I said the wrong way. I'm quite enjoying the company really." He smiled.
He didn't mind having somebody around, especially if they were female. Talking to girls was one thing Brendan was good at.

She laughed and smiled his way. "Good. I wasn't going to leave anyways." She sat down next to him on the grass and looked over to the quidditch pitch. "You like quidditch?"

"Yeah I love it. I'm one of the Gryffindor Chaser's actually." He said contentedly.
The clouds covered the sun and what was a sunny day turned into a cold, loudy overcast one. The wind started to pick up and drizzel started falling. Brendan didn't mind the rain and he knew, because of the kind of day it was, that it was going to pass soon.

"Me too, but slytherin." She looked up at the rain and leaned back to lay down on the now wet grass and closed her eyes listening to the rain and Brendans steady breathing. It was so relaxing that she could probably fall asleep.

"Nice." He said, with a smile.
He watched Brandi lie down. He didn't really have anything to say so he just sat there and waited for Brandi to say something.

"No, not really." He smiled.
He didn't really know Brandi to judge her. The drizzel left and the sun came back out again.
Strange weatherHe thought quietly.
"If your in Slytherin, how come your so - so nice?" He asked.
Brendan was a Gryffindor and Brandi was a Slytherin. Weren't they meant to have a dislike for each other. Maybe Brandi was different? Maybe there's a new kind of Slytherin these days? Brendan thought.
